PROM ALTERNATIVE

Each year, during the month of May, the Wayside Teen Leaders will organize a fellowship for the teenagers at Wayside Baptist.

The reason for doing so, is to give the teens an alternative to take the place of the prom in the secular schools.

The teens are picked up from their homes by a limousine, taken to the Church Fellowship Bldg. They are served a meal, take pictures in their formal/semi-formal attire, listen to an invited guest speaker, etc.

After this, they are taken to the Bowling Alley where they bowl several games. Then, they go to the Pizza Hut for pizza. ""WOW""

The teens are honored on that Sunday, during the Morning Worship Service.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL-2006

Our Vacation Bible School is always held Monday through Friday, during the last week of July. The year 2006 VBS will be the week of July 24-28th.

Vacation Bible Commencement Service will be during the evening service on July 30th.

The donations collected will be given to another one of God's ministries!

All children and adults are invited.

If they decide to have the tent set up, the teen classes will meet under the tent each night. Some of the adults that are not teaching nor helping in the refreshment area come to sit under the tent to listen to the preaching as well as watching and participating in the games that the teens play.

We usually average one hundred plus in attendance each day, with children accepting Jesus as their

Saviour.
